Twig The Fairy, a performance artist and children's book author, was crowdfunding for her book about her experiences with some mischievous goblins. She needed a video to generate buzz. But there's a catch: Twig doesn't talk. Cue the magic.
I pitched of an anti-Kickstarter campaign where goblins steal Twig's camera and try to convince viewers not to pledge. I collaborated with Twig on the script, and then we shot it over two golden-hour evenings at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
The video was such a hit that it got the project featured on Kickstarter's "What's Popular" page and raised 232% of the goal.
